Securitron manufactures a variety of outstanding products designed to supply and monitor 12 or 24 Volts for the operation of security and safety equipment. The BPS Series DC Power Supplies include battery charging capability with capacities from one to 15 Amps. The BACS Series provides high capacity 12 and 24 volts AC power. The model PSM Power Supply Monitor functions as an alarm system for your BPS series supply and our plug-in DC supplies and potted bridge rectifier fit into simpler applications. Eight additional outputs may be added to any version by adding a CCB-8 Board.

All models are UL listed and incorporate integral battery charging capability which keeps the sealed lead acid gel/cell at full charge for instantaneous stand-by power in case of line voltage failure. All models in the series are Class 2 rated by UL which means that output wiring need not be run in conduit. The BPS-12-1 and BPS-24-1 are one amp units that incorporate a fused AC input and a regulated DC output. A 2.5 Amp current limiting automatic breaker protects the stand-by batteries from driving into a short circuit. Plus, in the event of a DC short, the supply’s regulator will go into thermal cut-off, switching off the output. The power supply enclosure is sized large enough to include at least two optional four amp-hour batteries and the unit can charge up to a 20 AH pack (batteries mounted externally).

For critical applications, Securitron offers the remarkable Power Supply Monitor as an accessory for its larger DC supplies. Available in 12 or 24 volt versions, the PSM can operate with all BPS series supplies with capacities of 2 Amps or more. The Power Supply Monitor functions as an alarm system for the supply as it monitors all key functions and reports any trouble. The PSM also checks the battery pack by taking it off charge three times a day and subjecting it to an extended load test.

 

TP Series AC Transformers
Plug in AC transformers for many applications, including magnetic locks using the BR-7 rectifier. TP-12-3 @ 12VAC 3Amp. TP24-2 @ 24VAC .5Amp.

 

PSP Plugin Series
We offer these hard-to-find DC units in two versions: 12 volts @ 700 mA maximum capacity (model PSP-12) and 24 volts @ 350 mA maximum capacity (model PSP-24). They feature an internal thermal fuse and are UL and CSA listed. A 16 ft. output cable is included. They are ideal for powering a wide range of DC devices.

 

PM Series
Securitron's PM-12 and PM-24 power sup-plies are similar to the BPS-12-1 and BPS-24- 1 units except they employ separate plug-in transformers which interconnect with a circuit board housed in a steel enclosure. Since the transformer plugs into a wall socket, in-stallation does not require the services of an electrician. The PM units also feature regulated, adjustable power with integral sealed lead acid/gel cell battery charging capability while meeting Class 2 electrical requirements.
