Norton 1600 Series door closers provide narrow styling and installation versatility. Non-Hold-Open closers are supplied with both a mounting shoe and a soffit plate. Hold-Open closers are supplied with a hold-open mounting shoe and a parallel arm adapting plate.

Installation
Versatile closer packaged for regular arm, top jamb or parallel arm installation. Pinion shaft extends vertically through closer body in both directions allowing the closer to be installed on either right or left hand doors for all applications.

Adjustable Speed
1600 Series closers have independent valves to control sweep and latch speeds. Optional adjustment backcheck cushioning is also available, 1600BC Series.

Closer Materials
Norton’s shell, pinion bushing and caps of this closer are aluminum alloy materials. All other exposed components are stainless steel, or zinc alloy materials to provide excellent resistance to corrosive environments.
