This delay allows the store management time to respond to the alarm before the potential shoplifter can exit the store. The V40xEM must be tied into the fire alarm (sprinkler system, smoke detection, etc.) that allows a system override and immediate exit, during a fire emergency situation, per building code requirements. FEATURES Secure 2-point locking with 15 sec. delayed egress through the tandem holding force of the (1400 lb) exit device and the (1500 lb) electromagnetic lock.
