The Detex EA-500 Series Exit Alarm's surface-mount, slim line design blends with architectural decor and is easy to install using ordinary tools. This low-cost, self-contained door alarm employs a 95-decibel, directional piezo horn to warn of unauthorized use of a door.

FEATURES
Case and internal mounted piezo horn resist tampering.

Threaded lock-on cover protects mounting screws, electrical system and internal sensor.

Alarm can only be silenced by use of the proper control key or remote bypass switch/outside key control feature.

Piezo horn with directional characteristics blasts over 95 decibels of sound if door is used without authorization.

Low battery alert detector causes alarm to 'chirp' and LED to blink (in a manner similar to smoke alarms) whenever the battery needs replacing.

Reverse battery protection safeguards circuitry if battery is inserted incorrectly.

Re-arming within a few seconds after authorized use is automatic and does not depend on the user remembering to do it.

Alarm is triggered by reliable magnetic switching.

Adjustable time delay (5-30 seconds) allows time to exit.

90º detent prevents the removal of the control key when the unit is in the disarmed position.

The Detex EA-2500 Series Exit Alarm's slim-line design blends with architectural decor and is easy to install using ordinary tools. This surface or flush mount alarm is low-cost. It employs a 95 decibel, directional piezo horn to warn of unauthorized use of a door.

FEATURES
Internal Tamper Switch will alarm if unit is opened without first placing unit into bypass mode with key.

Stand-by battery back-up (9 Volt alkaline battery) is standard with each unit - no extra cost. Unit automatically switches to battery back-up whenever there is a loss of power.

Durable case and internal mounted piezo horn resist tampering.

State-of-the-art electronic closed loop circuit operation - alarm will sound any time the wires to the external sensor are cut.
