For hollow metal and wood doors prepped for ANSI 86 prep. Normally fitted with cylinder outside and lever or paddle inside to give one-way traffic control. Commonly used with electric strikes on aluminum openings. Can hold the latch retracted, for unrestricted traffic, by reverse turn of the key.
